In 1979 Spumatex was formed with the intention of providing a service to the footwear sector, with a facility of 1000 m2, one single line of production and 7 personnel, producing and marketing foam latex.

After four years of consistent progress the company managed to position itself strongly in the domestic market increasing their facilities to 4000 m2 and mounting the second line of production.

In 1989 Flexotex was created to cover a demand for integral solutions in material for insoles, toe puffs and heel counters.

At present the Spumatex Group possesses facilities of more than 25000 m2 and ten lines of production, marketing their products in five continents.
